ARTS EDUCATION AND SPECIAL PROGRAMMING

SAN DIEGO CULTURE CLUB :

PAW and The Violin Shop are teaming up to create a community that passionately celebrates Arts Education and fosters a life-long love of the arts in all disciplines. 

By joining the culture club, you have access to our quarterly newsletter, connects to San Diego Arts Organizations, and planned field trips in our community to various cultural outings in music, theater, dance, and the visual arts in our greater community. This includes museums, operas, festivals, performances, concerts, and much more. 

A Yearly Membership Fee of $20 covers the cost of maintaining the website and some administration. All outing/field trip costs are the responsibility of the participants. We may be able to get group discounts for outings. 

COLLABORATION WITH THE VIOLIN SHOP :

PAW is honored to collaborate with The Violin Shop in their programming bringing you music and dance workshops in all disciplines for beginner to advanced practitioners.

For Musicians and Dancers 10 and Under : We offer a series of four two hour workshops for beginning dancers and musicians focusing on foundational rhythms and dances in string music - Minuet, Rondo, Gavotte, and Bourree. These workshops will give context, history, beginning movement for musicians, and beginning music for dancers.

Winter Session : 9/6 (1:00 - 3:00pm), 10/4 (1:00 - 3:00pm), 11/1 (1:00 - 3:00pm), 12/6 (1:00 - 3:00pm)

For Musicians and Dancers Teens, Adults, and Professionals : We offer a monthly music and dancer series and jam the 4th Sunday of each month. These workshops will begin with an introductory class for dancers and musicians in separate rooms and culminate in a jam following class. Classes 12:30 - 1:30pm, Jam/Social 2 - 4pm.

Winter Session : 8/23 Irish Music/Dance and Jam/Social, 9/27 Flamenco Music/Dance and Jam/Social, 10/25 Salsa Music/Dance and Jam/Social, 11/22 Contradance Music/Dance and Jam/Social.
