Mayra Barragan is a multidisciplinary artist from San Diego, CA. She directs “Gatonegro” a project of physical training , research and creation.
In 2013 she completed the Contemporary Dance & Choreography Diploma with the Company Lux Boreal , and in 2016 Mayra concluded her degree in Contemporary Dance at the Professional Dance School of Mazatlan in Mexico.
Since then she has shared her choreographic pieces, in Italy, Costa Rica, USA , & Mexico. Guest Choreographer at Southwestern College , & REVES Festival in Costa Rica. Winner of the "San Diego Young Choreographer Prize - Best Overall 2019" Award
